In Defence of History, how "Holocaust denial" literature claims that Auschwitz
and other death camps, were post-war fabrications by Jewish interest groups.

When asked about this by David Irving under oath at the Irving vs. Lipstadt trial, Prof. Evans said:

"Yes. That is rather carelessly phrased, I am afraid. I think I was trying
to say there -- "extermination" is the central word there, that such camps
were used mainly or exclusively for extermination. I can see what you
mean. It is slightly carelessly phrased, I have to admit."

The British intercepted a German radio message on April 16, 1945 which read:

'Subject: Flossenbürg concentration camp. Flossenbürg has fallen into the enemy's hands. In other cases the enemy has turned part of the prisoners (many of them armed) loose on the civilian population.
'Please take the necessary measures from your end and on your responsibility. The Jewish prisoners must at all costs be transferred to Concentration Camp Dachau.'

Strange they didn't just shoot the Jewish prisoners, instead of transferring them
to Dachau, seeing as killing all the Jews was what the Nazis were all about.
